First of all, my heart breaking news. I achieved 6.5 for my writing in IELTS. Damn that 0.5, why can’t they give me 7? Seriously, why does imperial wants at least 7 for each category? Can’t they be satisfied with the overall band? I got band 8 out of 9 overall! *sigh* Yes, I should have listen to my mama advice. Shouldn’t have rushed to take it. And sorry to those who have high hopes on me, sorry to have let you all down. I admit, I’m really not good in writing formal argumentative or factual articles. Why am I so lousy in it?! So, what’s my next plan? Undecided yet. Plan A = retake, Plan B = Appeal, Plan C = give up and go to another UK U, Plan D = no plan D yet… Even though I know the final choice would be up to me, Please advice, I want to know your thoughts.
Next, I’ve finally finish watching Xamd! One word = BEAUTIFUL!
and literally, it’s one of the more beautiful animes I’ve ever watched.
And, yes, like everybody say, the only problem is that 26 episodes wasn’t enough to pull off the loop holes and tie up the loose endings that have everybody going around ‘huh?’ and asking ‘why?’. For those who wants a clearer understanding, check out this blog post below:
Make Sense of the Ending
It’s a pretty good explanation for what has been stated, but we are all still puzzling over things like why does Nakiami have to do that when Akiyuki already did that? So yea, as stated it’s “wonderful yet flawed/flawed yet good”.
One thing I wondered was why in the world did Akiyuki turn into stone. My cousin explanation was because he lost his mind, and ask me to remember that Nakiami asked him to “THINK!” when Haru was swallowed by Midori. Then I was like ‘yeah!’ and Xamd usually turn into stone due to grief, sadness that turns into madness, and Akiyuki managed to turn back probably thanks to Haru there talking to him.
And it’s really good, I liked it better than Eureka7 maybe because I never fancy mecha all that much, and I do think Xamd has nicer graphics. Some of the bright colors in E7 are too sharp for my liking. But storyline, E7 definitely wrap up better than Xamd, so, if only Xamd have been extended longer, it’ll definitely be superb awesome. And Xamd needs more popularity! To anybody planning to download it, [Fabulous]’s torrents are one of the best subs with quality graphics. Mine is all in high quality except for the first episode. Or you can probably wait for it to come out in DVD.
Besides, the Ongoro is so cute! So you should really watch it.

And about the results thing…(though we’ve been talking a lot about it d..lol…)…I think i still owe you a hug!!! *huggies*
Personally, you might wanna try asking them to remark…but there’s no guarantee that you can get better marks…usually its a 50-50 thing…
You can retake, of course, but try and make sure you’re even more prepared….you’re on the right track…really…you just need to work more on the formal style of academic writing…I understand you’re not used to it cos youu’ve never exactly wrote factual english essays before (blame A-Levels…SAM students get a lot of training..=P). But I can say that you’re definitely improving..you’re on the right track..guess you just need more work…
If you wanna opt for another uni, that’s fine too…Manchester and all that I really good universities too..it doesn’t really have to be Imperial…but of course, if that’s your aim…well, its up to you to decide….
